Updates

Update 18.01.06 03.33 EST: Lytenhost, valvehosting, speeddrives and allurehost had 100% uptime the last 7 days. Block9hosting had the worst uptime the last week, with a 98.915% uptime. Block9hosting have to worst uptime total, with a 98.134% uptime in this test. Lucnethosting had a avrage of 97.899% since they changed server. But the new server have 99.974% uptime avrage.

Update 18.01.06 01.18 EST: I will post the final 21 day uptime report today. I will so finish my reviews and scores of all the hosts this week. My next test will start around 25.1. Still no reply from block9hosting, so I think they are gone.

Update 12.01.06 01.19 EST: What's going on at block9hosting.net? No reply on support mails after two days. No update on their forum. And lots of downtime.....not a good sign!

Update 10.01.06 16.38 EST: I have sent out a mail to every host about that I will cancel my account after the test is over. I have sent the mail from host...@webhost-review.info

Update 09.01.06 16.37 EST Uptime update:

This week speeddrives.com, lucnetsolutions.com and senchihost.com was the only companies with 100% uptime. The worst server this week was lytenhost.com with 95.139% uptime, a total of 8 hours and 10 minutes downtime. Lucnetsolution changed the server since last week, and got 100% on the new server. Sencihost.com is the only company with a 100% total uptime.

Update 07.01.06 00.00 EST: About the downtime on the Allurehost server

Hello Kenneth,

On January 5th around 6:00pm EST, we began work on upgrading our servers ethernet card from 10mbps to 100mbps and during the process ran into a problem with a new ethernet card. The old ethernet card was put back in until the problem could be identified and a solution presented. The server then was returned online at 7:58pm EST. The port issue was cleanly fixed on January 6th at 9:30am EST with a only a couple minutes of downtime. In total we suffered around 2 hours and 15 minutes of downtime due to the upgrades this month. This is not a look into what this year has in store for us as we have had SUPERB 100% uptime during the months of October - December. Fortunately this will be the last "unscheduled" downtime occurance for this month. Thank you.

Update 08.01.06 04.47 EST: Much down time on some hosts yesterday. block9hosting had over 7 hours, and Lytenhost had 8 hours. No info from block9hosting, but Lytenhost did send out this info:

Recently, there was a small downtime which was caused because of mysql being overloaded by a resource intensive user or a cpanel fault, the cause is to be determined as we are investigating this.
Usually, our service restarting software (Which checks to see if services are operating and restarts/starts them if they arent) failed to operate correctly because of the mysql process which seemed to be looping and consuming nearly 100% CPU causing other processes to either become terribly slow or not to operate at all.
We apologize for this downtime and you can expect a full investigation of this problem and for it to be dealt with accordingly. Furthermore, LytenHost will not accept any type of abuse of our servers, resources or services and will quickly remove any such user and quickly terminate any such accounts.

Hello Kenneth, I just wanted to let you know that the server you are testing will no longer be used. We have moved your account to our new server renegade. Your new Dedicated IP is 70.86.231.86 That server you where on was going bad and we decided to move everyone. This has been almost un-noticeable for most clients. Update 03.01.06 11.03 EST: I have updated the uptime for the first week. Three host had 100% uptime: lytenhost.com, valvehosting.com, senchihosting.com. The worst was Lucnetsolutions.com with 95,824% uptime (over 6 hours downtime)

Update: 29.12.05 09.04 EST: I have got replies from upscalehost, and their are getting new servers these days, so I will get the account within few days. But they replies on mails.

Update: 28.12.05 20.27 EST: valvehosting.com cancelled my account with them. I will still make a review, but the review will be based on 1 day of hosting.
